Why join NOBA?
NOBA Affiliation
The Northern Ontario Badminton Association (NOBA) is the organization that is resposible for managing and supporting badminton in the following regions of Northern Ontario (Kenora District, Rainy River District, Thunder Bay District, Algoma District, Cochrane District, Manitoulin District, Nipissing District, Sudbury District, Sudbury Regional Municipality, and Timiskaming District). Our association is dedicated to our clubs and it's members, and want to offer as much support as we can.
Below are the benefits to clubs and their members of joining as a NOBA club:

Participate in NOBA events at reduced rates

Take advantage of great insurance rates through Badminton Ontario's plan

Have your club listed on the NOBA and Badminton Ontario websites

Assistance organizing and promoting tournaments

Allows athletes to compete in Badminton Ontario sanctioned tournaments

Junior athletes are eligible to join the NOBA Team at the Ontario Winter/Summer Games

Athletes qualify for NOBA district level rankings

Our association is dedicated to our clubs and its members, and has a number of benefits that come with affiliation.
We have two different affiliation options for clubs.
Option 1: NOBA Base Membership - $50
This membership is ideal for clubs looking to take affiliate and get the perks that NOBA has to offer.
The benefits of this level of affiliation include:

Club is listed on the NOBA website.

Members can participate in NOBA sanctioned events and district championships.

Members are eligible to run for a position on the NOBA Executive.
Option 2: NOBA PLUS Membership - $150
This membership is ideal for clubs looking to take affiliate and get the perks that NOBA, Badminton Ontario, and Badminton Canada have to offer.
The benefits of this level of affiliation include:

All of the benefits from the NOBA Base Membership.

Clubs is affiliated with Badminton Ontario.

Clubs can get certificates of insurance through Badminton Ontario (all members of the club must purchase the BON General Membership)

Members are eligible for coach, manager, and athlete positions within the NOBA Ontario Winter Games team.

Eligible to apply for any grants offered by NOBA and BON.

Clubs can apply for funding from the Badminton Ontario Sport Development Fund (a fund used to help grow the sport of badminton and its programs at the grassroots level)
